About
ET Workbench is a personal project by Daniel Godfrey, an employment lawyer based in Birmingham. It applies AI models, running locally on a single desktop computer, to the published decisions of the Employment Tribunal, and this site describes what the resulting tools do, how they were built and what they have found.
The project is carried out independently of any employer. The code was written with the assistance of Claude and Claude Code.

Employment Tribunal decisions are published on GOV.UK under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Any work involving Employment Appeal Tribunal judgments will use The National Archives’ Find Case Law service, under the terms of its licence.

Figures and findings on this site come from automated extraction and may contain errors. Nothing here is legal advice. Always check the underlying judgment before relying on anything.
